The programs of the conferences that were held by NIXT since 1988 are published on this Website. (Those of the initial five International conferences are not included.) The contact data for the more than 170 speakers who presented papers is also listed. The database reveals the considerable amount of information disseminated over the past twelve years. The Proceedings of the last  conferences are published on a series of CD's, each collating five conferences
or as single CD's.

NIXT made contact with Visfotak, an Indian organisation with aims and activities similar to those of this Institute. NIXT was invited to become an Associate Member of Visfotak. NIXT is already an invited Associate Member of both SAFEX and the International Society for Explosives Engineers.

The Advisory Forum (AF) is the operational arm of this Institute. It represents a wide spectrum of companies, organisations and Government Departments. It addresses issues important to the explosives industry and organisations serving the explosives industry. Meetings are open to those active in the industry.

THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOUR

Of special interest is the founding of the long awaited Department's Explosives Council. Representatives from the wide spectrum of the industry will assist the Department with the interpretation and application of the Explosives Act and Regulations.
